The Bern-Lötschberg-Simplon (BLS) railway have created a number of paths where you can walk one-way and return by train or bus:

• The Nord Rampe goes between Kandersteg and Kiental
• The Lötschberg Südrampe goes from Hohten to Lalden but you can continue all the way down to Brig
• The Lötschentaler Höhenweg is a high level path from above Goppenstein up to Fafleralp
